Her feet fell hard against the pavement
As she laughed cheerfully down the sidewalk.
Nothing could ruin the happiness her face evoked.
All the care in the world did not matter.
The vines wrapped around the home,
In a way that gave it the character it needed.
She looked upon the greenery in such awe
That she thought to herself:
"I want to be hugged the way the plants hug this home."
She touched the rotting porch step
And gazed upon the weathered home.
Then looked back to the place she had just come from.
Turning away from from the rustic place,
She ran away.
Then looked back to the place she had just come from.
Turning away from from the rustic place,
She ran away.
